About the role:

Bilam works limited is seeking an experienced individual to join their team of experts as a Heavy Equipment Electrician. The ideal candidate must possess a strong electrical background and be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in a variety of heavy equipment.. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of our machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough electrical diagnostics on heavy equipment to identify faults, malfunctions and issues,
Perform repairs, maintenance, and replacements of electrical components and systems, including wiring, switches, sensors, and control panels.
Carry out duties independently when called out and report breakdowns and faults
Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical problems efficiently.
Ensure that all preventive maintenance (electrical) is conducted as defined
Ensure all electrical work adheres to safety regulations and standards, reducing potential hazards and ensuring a safe working environment.
Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used to facilitate efficient record-keeping and reporting.
Conduct rigorous testing and quality checks on repaired equipment to ensure proper functionality.
Collaborate with other technicians and mechanics to address electrical and mechanical issues comprehensively.
Recommend and implement electrical upgrades to improve equipment performance, energy efficiency, and safety.
Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in heavy equipment electrical systems.

Requirements

At least 3 years of proven work experience on Earthmoving Equipment.
Trade/ Craft certificate in Electrical
Proven experience as an electrician, with a focus on heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
Knowledge of electrical systems in heavy machinery such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, Sinotruck, Hyundai, Shantui, Liugong, etc.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
